Final Portfolio

My goal was to recontextualize family archival material into locations that I have a personal connection with, to touch on themes of immigration and displacement. My tools of focus were layer masking, healing tools for retouching, and various adjustments to edit photos. I was inspired especially by Hannah Höch's collages, and the unique digital collage process -- I made careful consideration to choose where to blend in elements, and where to show their obvious juxtaposition.
